At IMHC, our vision to create a community where mental health is a top priority and individuals can access the resources they need to achieve optimal well-being is more than just words. We have purchased a piece of land in Ukraine, near Kyiv, and have launched an ambitious, multi-million dollar capital campaign.
Roughly 1,100,000 Ukrainian men and 100,000 women, have been, or are currently, fighting for the future of their nation. When these veterans return home, responsibilities such as home and family care still fall on their shoulders, as they struggle to process what they have seen and experienced during the last three years. Additionally, many civilian women who remain at home carry the burdens of raising children while their husbands serve in active combat or cope with the loss of a loved one. Many of these veterans and civilians have endured sexual violence, death, displacement and living in occupied territories.
We are launching our capital campaign to build a state-of-the-art complex that will provide comprehensive, holistic, trauma- informed care to veterans, civilians, families, and children who have been profoundly impacted by the on-going war. The first building planned for construction will cost $3,225,000. It will provide in-patient and out-patient treatment, as well as administrative offices.
